Service1st Restoration Providing A Grab-N-Go Lunch for First Responders

Serving Up Gratitude in Central PA: A Grab-N-Go for First Responders
SEPTEMBER 24, 2020 HARRISBURG, PA 2020 is trying the limits of those that need to be available to respond to emergencies and serve our communities 24/7/365, making this year’s acknowledgements and acts of appreciation extremely important.
On October 8th, between 12pm t0 3:30pm, Service1st Restoration is coordinating an event to give-back and show appreciation by handing out free lunches, and some other goodies, to First Responders in all lines-Police, Fire, EMS, Dispatch, Military, Nurses, and Corrections Officers. These active serving heroes will have an opportunity to do a “drive-through” at Service1st to grab a Mission BBQ lunch to-go. In addition to working with Mission BBQ, Service1st Restoration has teamed up with 717 Armory to also offer some free-range time as a “thank you”. Additional tokens of appreciation from other local businesses will also be handed out to thank the First Responders.
HACC’s Shumaker Public Safety Center will be onsite to share with individuals training and re-certification programs available to them. There will be resources from non-profits that offer services and programs to First Responders and their families.
Service1st Restoration Team Members will be on stand-by and prepared to Disinfect official response vehicles and apparatus as an additional expression of gratitude. Service1st has offered this service to businesses, townships, and municipalities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and had previously offered the service pro bono to First Responders.
To be compliant with CDC and state guidelines, this Grab-N-Go will conveniently be a drive-through event. Masks and social distancing, when possible, will be adhered to by all assisting and attending.
