Treat-N-Greet Community Event planned with First Responders and Local Businesses

An Invitation Is Being Extended to the Community to Attend a Treat-N-Greet Drive-Thru

First Responders and Local Businesses will be in the Halloween Spirit and ready for local families to drive-thru a festive Treat-N-Greet on Friday, October 30th.

Not your typical trick-or-treating, this drive-thru is open for visitors from 5:30pm-7:30pm on Friday, October 30th. Families are invited to enjoy being greeted by First Responders and Local Businesses who will be set up and ready to give out treats and to be judged on their Spooky and/or Fun Halloween Costumes and Decorations.

Service1st Restoration wanted to offer a safe and fun alternative considering a lot of holiday events are being canceled this year.

“Friday, October 30th, 2020 from 5:30-7:30pm, families can drive through a designed “Treat-N-Greet” course located at 330 East Park Drive in Harrisburg.  Fire, Police, and EMS Departments that serve us locally, as well as businesses and organizations, will hand out treats following CDC guidelines.  Kids will enjoy being greeted by First Responders and seeing the Halloween festive decorated spaces with their family while driving-thru.”

“Many first responders and public safety departments, businesses, and organizations use Halloween parades and trick-or-treat night as an opportunity to connect with the members of the community.  We wanted to help facilitate an alternative for all to still have that opportunity, because we believe in the importance of relationships being built between Fire, Ambulance, and Police and their constituents especially.”

Everyone participating and visiting is encouraged to dress up.  Spaces and/or vehicles occupied by the participants may be decorated in family fun, friendly or spooky theme.  Visitors will be able to vote on their favorites.  Any donations received to participate in the fun voting will be donated to “The Kids Trust,” a non-profit started to raise awareness for children of abuse.  https://thekidstrust.org/
